Literature Text

The coworker watched her fiddle with the dials and stick her tongue out, a byproduct of deep concentration.  Her ginger hair gleamed under the fluorescent lights, while her eyes seemed to glow all on their own.  Her hands looked so delicate, yet when working with the machinery, they moved without shaking, their hesitation lost.  Outside of this place, she stumbled and stuttered and stayed in her supposed place, but here?  Here, she was the epitome of a mind at work, one whom the coworker could watch for hours on end.

Oh, frick.  I’ve fallen in love with her, haven’t I?
I had some other ideas with more specific characters for this one, but I couldn't figure out how to start them, so I settled for this drabble.  The others were about protagonists realizing they were crushing on someone, too, for the record.
Word Count: 100.

I like the contrast here, between her in and out of her element. Poor co-worker; let's hope they're a little better at the social side for both their sakes. :aww:
